Our Mission
KNSA’s mission is to ensure that the people of North Stonington, and those wishing to live here, can find housing within their budgets. By using available private and public funding
We will provide affordable housing options for first-time homebuyers, seniors, renters and those who otherwise cannot afford to live in North Stonington. We will do so in a manner which enhances our community while retaining the rural character of our town.

Constructing Affordable Housing, Empowering Change
At KNSA, our projects are dedicated to enhancing communities through thoughtful and impactful development. We focus on transforming properties into affordable housing, creating spaces that foster community growth and support residents’ needs. Our efforts include both new developments and the rehabilitation of historic structures, ensuring that each project contributes positively to the community.
By combining innovative planning with a commitment to preserving heritage, we strive to create quality living environments that are both sustainable and supportive. Our goal is to make a meaningful difference through every project, improving the quality of life for individuals and families while strengthening the community as a whole.
Our Main Street Housing has just been awarded a $500,00 Housing and Urban Renewal grant to build two homes on the land pictured here given by Long Island Trinity Trust, Regina McGowqn, Trustee. Look for more information and activity on these two lots.

Fall 2025 - Grant submitted for full cost of Schoolhouse rehab.
